What’s up SOLE5 Society!
Mad May I reckon it’s been. This month has been packed full of long distance running events that have pushed people to their limits.
The big event for the month was Ultra-Trail Australia. It’s without a doubt Australia's premier trail running event. 100km in length with over 4,400m of elevation gain. Absolutely grueling and anyone who finishes is for sure built different.
SOLE5 was fortunate to have a runner out there putting their Full Length Orthotics to the ultimate test. Officially 101.6km and they absolutely smashed it! A hair over 13 hours, an 11th consecutive top 100 result, and a miniscule 13 minutes of rest time. Yeah, 13 minutes of rest over 13 hours of trail running. Insane.
That has to be the record for most distance run in a single session in a pair of our Orthotics!
The Noosa Marathon has also just wrapped, and while the UTA might be the most grueling race. Noosa might just take the win for the nicest. We also had some runners out there smashing goals and feedback was great. PB’s broken and lots of happy, pain free feet!
