Frequently Asked Questions

What are orthotic insoles and how do they work?

Orthotic insoles replace the standard insoles in your shoes. Unlike standard shoe insoles, SOLE5 orthotics are designed by podiatrists. They actively improve how your feet function by increasing arch support and improving joint alignment. This extra support can help relieve pain in your feet, ankles, knees, hips, and lower back.

Will they help with my pain?

Our orthotic range was specifically designed to help reduce your pain and decrease risk of injury. SOLE5 orthotics help to increase arch support and improve the alignment of the joints in your body, reducing the stress on your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Improved arch support and joint alignment helps to reduce painful symptoms, including plantar fasciitis, knee pain, hip discomfort, and lower back pain.

What makes us different?

SOLE5 was founded in 2023 by a husband and wife with decades of experience working as clinical podiatrists. We were frustrated by the poor quality products on the market and wanted to make an orthotic insole that would actually help people.

We spent two years custom designing our premium orthotic insoles that provide more arch support, better joint alignment, and improved function compared to other options on the market. Our unique design means SOLE5 Orthotic Insoles also fit seamlessly into all of your shoes without compromising support.

Which SOLE5 orthotic insole is right for me?

SOLE5 orthotic insoles deliver maximum arch support tailored to your lifestyle.

Our Full Length Orthotic Insoles are perfect for the active person and anyone who spends long hours on their feet. They offer maximum support for your arch and forefoot, making them ideal for gym workouts, running, and other high energy activities.

Our Half Length Orthotic Insoles are perfect for the casual person. They are carefully designed to fit in a wider range of shoes, while still offering maximum arch support. Their unique shape makes them perfect for everyday, work, and casual footwear.

For those who do it all, our bundle combines both orthotic styles, providing seamless support all day, every day, no matter the shoe or activity.

Do they fit most shoes?

Absolutely! We have carefully designed our orthotics to expand the fitting options even further. Depending on which SOLE5 orthotic insole you choose (or both), you can fit them in anything from a pair of boots, to a running shoe, and nearly everything in between. Although, we do not recommend using them in high heels or any shoe that does not have an enclosed heel.

Are they sold as a pair?

Yes, our orthotics are sold as a pair. You will receive a right and a left orthotic with every purchase, providing optimal support and comfort for both feet. Unfortunately, individual left or right orthotics are not sold separately, as we do not recommend wearing only one side, since this can lead to biomechanical asymmetry and related issues.

Can I transfer them between shoes?

Certainly! SOLE5 orthotic insoles are designed to be easily transferable between various types of footwear. This versatility ensures that you can enjoy The Freedom to Move comfortably in all your favourite shoes.

What can I expect once they are in my shoes?

Transitioning to your SOLE5 orthotic insoles may take some time for your feet to adjust. It's normal to experience a period of adaptation, and wearing them in gradually is key to avoiding discomfort.

Begin by wearing your orthotics for one hour on the first day and incrementally increase the duration by one hour each day following. This gradual approach, spanning up to two weeks, allows your body to adjust to the orthotic support, minimising the risk of pain and discomfort. It's advisable to refrain from using them for running or sports during this adjustment period.

Once you are accustomed to the orthotics, you can confidently incorporate them into your active lifestyle, enjoying The Freedom to Move comfortably.

How do I keep them clean?

Maintaining your SOLE5 orthotic insoles is simple. To keep clean, wipe them with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking or submerging them in water, as excessive moisture can damage certain materials.

How often do they need to be replaced?

SOLE5 orthotic insoles have a lifespan of approximately 12 months. Regularly assess the condition of your orthotics. If you notice any wear, reduced support, or the recurrence of pain, it's time to consider replacing them for continued optimal performance.
