Orthotics for Shin Splints.

4.95Rated by customers

Shin splints are a load problem. Pain builds along the inside of the lower leg when training ramps up faster than the muscles pulling on that bone can cope with. A foot that rolls in, or overpronates, makes the pull worse. SOLE5 insoles control that roll so the tibia takes less of it.

Got questions?

What are Shin Splints?

Shin splints, medically known as medial tibial stress syndrome, cause pain along the shin bone from repeated stress on the muscles and tissue around it. They're common in runners and anyone increasing activity quickly, and are often linked to flat feet or overpronation.

Can insoles really help Shin Splints?

Yes. A stabilising heel cup and firm arch support correct the overpronation that's commonly behind shin splints, while cushioning reduces the impact your lower leg absorbs with every step, which is why supportive insoles are a widely recommended part of managing and preventing shin splints.

How long does it take for insoles to work?

Many people notice reduced heel pain within the first couple of weeks of consistent wear, with fuller relief building over several weeks as your foot adapts. Everyone's recovery timeline is different, so pair insoles with stretching and supportive footwear for best results.

Should I wear insoles all the time?

Daily wear gives the most consistent support. If you're new to orthotics, ease in over the first week rather than wearing them a full day straight away, so your feet can adjust.

Are SOLE5 orthotics podiatrist designed?

Yes. SOLE5 insoles are designed from practising podiatrists and are TGA/ARTG-registered, so you're getting clinically informed support, not a generic foam insert.

What's the difference between the Full Length and Half Length?

Full Length gives maximum support and fits shoes with removable insoles. Half Length is more versatile, fitting in almost any shoe, including ones with limited depth.

What if they don't work for me?
